The Witari Kintamani

A couple of days we couldn’t see anything through the fog, but you can’t control the rain. The views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur are phenomenal when they’re clear. The staff were friendly, especially pak Wayan and ibu Putu. I came to strengthen my inner peace, and I found it. Matur suksma dahat!...

The view is stunning, and that was definitely the best part of our stay. But we found the hotel disappointing in other ways. We had to rely on taxis the whole time because there was nowhere nearby to rent a scooter or access other services. That made getting around more expensive and less convenient. The place is advertised as a cafe restaurant, but it felt empty, with little atmosphere, no real activity, and very limited service. Breakfast was very basic and not particularly good, especially compared with other hotels we’ve tried around Bali. There are only five rooms, and it’s a noisy hotel. You can hear people arriving and leaving, doors opening, and conversations. The rooms are spacious, though some have a bit of humidity or a damp smell. We asked to move and they accommodated us with a bigger room, which we appreciated. The view is beautiful, but I believe there are places with similar scenery and better service, comfort, and convenience for enjoying a stay.

My wife and I stayed in the King Deluxe Suite with Mountain View, and it was a quiet, special place for us. The room was perfectly clean, and the service was excellent. All the staff were kind, friendly, and always ready to help. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. 🌿✨

The mountain view was the only good thing about this hotel. The rooms weren’t clean, and the staff barely spoke English. Don’t trust the photos on booking websites.
