Right by the entrance to Maria Sawer Rahmat Cave in Cisantana, Kedai Oma is an easy stop after the Way of the Cross. It’s a cozy, homey place serving simple local home-cooked meals that hit the spot. The name is charming and easy to remember. The couple who run it are warm and down-to-earth, whether you’re coming in for food or staying over. There’s a clean public toilet, a little stall selling snacks and drinks, and enough parking to make the visit easy. Their small guest house has five rooms and can host around 10 to 15 people. It isn’t big, but it’s clean and peaceful. There’s also a backyard you can book for a BBQ, a small gathering, or a quiet group meeting, which works nicely for friends or family.

They struggled to handle a full dining room and big orders, and the experience was unpleasant. Our food arrived in no clear order, and after waiting more than an hour, it was cold and the order was incomplete. The portions were small, and the prices weren’t especially cheap. Maybe it’s worth trying on a quieter day, but not when it’s busy. A group might do better with an early reservation.

We stayed for 3d2n. The place was tidy and clean, and the food was delicious at an affordable price. It’s near the Catholic sacred place Goa Maria Sawer Rahmat. The air was fresh and the weather cool, and from around here you can see the top of Ciremai Mountain.

The food was delicious across the menu except for the seblak. I’m surprised they don’t promote the soft bone chicken as their main course. It’s a big home that also works as an inn, with rooms at idr250k each.

We stopped at this little resto after climbing Mt Ciremai and were surprised by how many menu options it had. The meals were excellent, and so were the staff and service. I’ll visit again if I’m in the area.
