I wouldn't recommend booking or renting here. It was my first time in Kupang, and I booked through Aggoda. When I arrived to check in, nobody was there at first; then the owner came and got angry with me as if I were a thief. He had no manners. The owner should sort out the listing through the app and website. Otherwise, the money will still be sent to his account, and he won't return it.

I booked through the Traveloka app as a newcomer, but there was nobody there when I arrived to check in. As I was leaving, I got scolded and made to feel like a thief. They told me it was a boarding house that didn't work with any app. So who put it on the app, and why wasn't the listing handled? It hurts both the boarding house and its customers. Don't let anyone else get caught by this. Surely not just anyone can register accommodation on Traveloka; the property must be involved, since online registration isn't that easy. This doesn't deserve a star.

The guard shut the gate when I tried to enter, then casually told me they hadn't worked with OYO for a long time. Someone living there confirmed it was a boarding house. I'd booked and paid through OYO, and the reservation had somehow been confirmed, but the receptionist wouldn't answer my calls. Looking at the other Google reviews, I'm clearly not the only one. This is a scam. Don't book here.

I paid through booking.com, but when I arrived, the person there said they didn't accept bookings from any online service. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable and feels fraudulent. Everyone else, be careful.
