Grand La Walon Hotel

It was a wonderfully relaxing stay at Grand La Walon Hotel. The property and facilities were superbly clean, and the staff were amazing. Our room was quiet, with a small balcony facing the pool. From the room entrance, we could also catch gorgeous sunset views and glimpses of the ocean. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every day and often ate at the restaurant or by the pool. The poolside bar was great, and there was live music some evenings. It's an easy walk to the beach for sunsets, as well as to Garlic Lane and Legian Street for shops, restaurants, spas, and bars. It's a smaller hotel than some resorts, and I wouldn't call it a big party place. The restaurant is good, though, and the whole stay was enjoyable. It's listed as equivalent to 3-star accommodation, but to me it felt better than a 3-star hotel in Australia. Great amenities, location, and staff. I'd book again on future trips to Bali without hesitation.

Every staff member we approached was great, so helpful and friendly. My only complaints are the towels and hair products. The towels were meant to be white, but looked dark and stained, and washing them with some bleach would make them perfect. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling like straw.

After almost 30 hours of travel, this was just the relaxing three-day stay we needed. The pool was lovely and the beach was close by. Our bed was comfortable, and the nicest staff cleaned the room every day. There was easy access to breakfast and other food, plus room service and a restaurant downstairs. They also replaced the shampoo and towels daily. A great stay.

After visiting Bali for 20 years, I only wish I’d found this hotel sooner. The location was brilliant, the rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. What really made it special was the staff greeting me by name each day. I spent my birthday there and they treated me like family. I’m already looking at booking another visit. Loved every second.
