I had a great six-night stay at Sotis Hotel. Jackson Laoe and his security team were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Teddy at reception was excellent too. Check-in went smoothly, he was easy to talk to, and he was very accommodating during our stay. I really appreciated everyone's service and would stay here again.

The rooms looked clean, nice, and luxurious, and the staff were humble and easy to talk to. When I reported that the fridge wasn't working, they replaced it with a new one. Wi-Fi was fine, and breakfast was excellent, with good options. You can also reach the beach just behind the hotel. The price is higher than nearby hotels, and there isn't much parking. The lobby was a bit hot; there was a side entrance, but I don't know why the main door wasn't open. During my Saturday stay, the cafe had a DJ and live music, maybe for a special or regular event. The noise carried into my room and made it uncomfortable.

We've stayed at Sotis on two separate layovers and loved it. The staff were lovely, the pool is gorgeous, and the hotel bar and restaurant are great. Rooms are a good size and nicely decorated, and the oceanfront upgrade is worth paying for. It's right on the beach with beautiful sunsets. Fantastic value, and after talking to other tourists, the feeling was that this is the best place in Kupang.

The location is perfect, right beside the beach, and the sunsets are lovely. I liked that locals enjoy the same beach too. On weekends the hotel holds a street food festival that's open to locals as well as hotel guests. This was one of the best hotels I stayed at in Indonesia during my trip. The manager and front desk staff were very supportive and helped me in English, which I really appreciated. Meals can take a while, so order early. The younger staff did their best to provide service. Some other guests were loud late at night or early in the morning, with karaoke or just talking in their rooms, which made it hard to sleep, though that's not the hotel's fault. A decent choice for a layover, and easy to reach from the airport. The food and drink selection is excellent. The pool facilities might be the best in Kupang, and you can watch the sunset right from the pool. The beach outside is public, so it can get crowded and a bit dirty, but that gives it a real local feel. I'd come back for another island-hopping layover.
