Gemma and Made are lovely hosts who make you feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is great. It’s a little way out of town, but there’s a free shuttle available whenever you need it, and they also rent scooters and a car. There are four dogs around, so you’ll need to like dogs.

I felt very safe on the snorkeling tour, which was my main concern, and we loved it. Gemma, the owner, is friendly and professional, knows her job, and gives you good guidance. I’d recommend the tour without hesitation.

The boat is traditional, and the gear and life jackets are in great shape. The guides are professional, and the owner knows good jigging spots. We had a great trip and a fantastic fish feast. I’d definitely go again if I’m ever in lombok, and the overnight tuna excursion sounds like a lot of fun.

The only good thing for me was how friendly and welcoming the women working there were. The place is overpriced and extremely noisy, one of my worst stays. It’s right by the motorway, with scooters and motorcycles going past until midnight, so I couldn’t sleep even with earplugs. Being 2 km from the center is no advantage when the center is actually quieter. Avoid it.

Gemma was a brilliant guide on our snorkeling trip. She knows the reefs around the southern Gilis and the fish species really well, and exploring the area was so much fun. I’d definitely recommend the tour.
