OYO 1662 Zury Homestay

What a nightmare! I paid in full through the OYO app for four nights while I was still in Bali, and was excited about the booking. Two days later, at the hotel, I found out they'd stopped working with OYO, so I couldn't stay as booked. To stay, I'd have to pay again at a higher price, since the owner hadn't received my app payment. The woman I spoke with, who said she was the owner, explained that during Covid 19 she hadn't renewed their OYO partnership when the contract ended, and no longer rented rooms through the app. That's not the point. I asked how this could happen. She said she had no idea, that I wasn't the only one, and suggested contacting the number on their profile. I tried, but the man who answered said he no longer worked there, and stopped replying when I asked who was in charge or for another number. I don't blame the owner for what happened. To me, OYO is the problem. How can OYO keep listing properties and letting people book and pay for rooms at places it no longer partners with, while OYO keeps the money? OYO, seriously? Typically Indian apps scams!
