Si Doi Kuta

The room was spacious and nice, and the staff were helpful. For the reasonable price, the room was about average, and hygiene was average too. There was no pipe water system for the bowls, and the toilet cleanliness didn’t meet my expectations. So, it was okay.

Poor management and service. We were told the price included breakfast, but the next morning the staff stopped us from eating and insisted breakfast wasn’t included. We asked them to check with the staff member we’d spoken to on the phone the day before. They had been so sure breakfast was included. Bad service and management.

I came to SiDoi in March 2018 and, almost a year later, I’m still here. This has become home for me. I retired young, bought a motorbike, and travel while using this place as my base. People ask why I don’t get a home of my own. I don’t want to cook, hire a maid, or clean, and at SiDoi that’s all taken care of. I’ve got a large room with air con, a big flat-screen TV with cable, a king-size bed, a desk, and a bathroom with hot water and a shower. Kuta Beach is two minutes away, and it’s very central. The restaurant is really good, and room service is easy. The staff are excellent. The owner and his family live here too, and they’re great people. Best hotel in Kuta or Legion, in my view.

The bathroom smelled so bad I couldn’t open the door, and I found a cockroach about two fingers big in there. The bed sheet was sticky when I checked in, so I had to ask them to change it. I know it’s a cheap place, but it was awful to stay in. Glad I only booked one night. It felt like a horror show. Do not go!
