OYO 1741 Komala Indah Cottages

The bathroom was the worst part. The shower barely ran, and there was a centipede in the bucket of water. I didn't have time to raise a complaint, so I managed another way. I mostly stayed on the bed using the WiFi and TV while getting work done. I had to pay more than the OYO booking price, which had included my member discount. They said the price was wrong and would only take cash, with no card, OVO, e-wallet, or bank transfer, which was inconvenient since I don't always carry cash. The fan room itself was spacious for one person, with clean sheets, but there were no towels or toiletries. I was prepared for that. It's close to Kuta beach, and the staff were really helpful. The place seemed nice otherwise, but the owner or manager needs to pay more attention to details and cleanliness, especially in the bathroom. It was a pretty bad stay.

The fan in the room they gave me looked disgusting, and there was no AC remote. When I asked at reception, they said I'd booked a fan-only room, but my Agoda booking was for a room with AC. I gave the key back and they kept my money. Thankfully it was just one night. I wouldn't stay here again.

After a tiring search for the property, I was told I couldn't have the accommodation I'd reserved and had little choice but to accept their offer. I'd booked through OYO, but on arrival they said they didn't honor it because the price was too low. I know people who run hotels and have heard about how OYO works, so it didn't surprise me. Still, the property should have left OYO instead of bringing people in through a booking and then expecting them to pay roughly two or three times as much. Not a good experience.

The bathroom was alarming, with wires sticking out of the wall, hardly any light in the shower, an old-looking mirror, and the source of the bad smell we noticed on arrival. The bedsheets had lots of dirty spots, though at least they didn't smell. We initially thought the place might be nice, but I can't recommend it.
