My first week in Bali couldn’t have gone better. It felt like a family here, with a warm welcome, clean rooms, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I really appreciated getting recommendations for all kinds of activities, and the service was exceptional. The warung attached to the hostel is great too. You can have a beer and chat with Ali, the owner, his family, and friends. Thanks to everyone at the hostel! 🫶🏾

I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels in Indonesia, and this is one of the best. The beds are huge, the bathrooms are well equipped, and they even stored some of my luggage while I traveled around the country. Saturday family dinners are free and really generous. I loved chatting with the staff and other guests; it honestly felt like being part of a family.

Back for my second solo trip here, and I had another great stay. It’s tucked into a quiet spot but still handy for the beach, restaurants, and a short drive to the airport. There’s a nice pool and a cozy shared area where you can meet other travelers. The staff are so kind and welcoming, and I liked the small touches, like the family-style dinners they sometimes put on. Clean, friendly, and affordable, I’d recommend it to other solo travelers.

I canceled my booking after a string of basic mistakes and unprofessional communication, and I’d strongly advise against staying here. I had booked a double room, but when I contacted the hotel to ask about services, they replied as if I’d reserved a dorm bed. If I hadn’t checked, I might have arrived without the room I’d booked. They hadn’t checked the reservation at all. After correcting that, they told me their only two double rooms were on the ground floor, had no fans, and only had air conditioning. I had specifically requested a quiet, high-floor room and a fan so I wouldn’t need to use the AC. I also asked for temporary luggage storage so I could leave my belongings for a few days while visiting the island. That was essential for me, but they repeatedly ignored the question and kept pushing an expensive, paid airport valet service instead. It made me think they either don’t offer luggage storage or were deliberately avoiding the subject. Their transport prices also seemed much higher than those on specialized apps Local. The ad seemed embellished and possibly misleading about some services. Between the reservation error, refusal to provide a simple fan, lack of answers, and focus on selling costly extras, I saw no clarity or transparency, and felt the management was opportunistic and focused on useless services at inflated prices.
