Arama Riverside

We spent five nights in Villa 11 as a group of eight adults. Most of the rooms were very comfortable and spacious, though a couple of bedrooms felt small. The master bedroom was particularly big, with an outdoor bathroom. Everything was clean, but some of the decor could use an update. The villas were pretty much as shown in the photos, and the location made it easy to walk to Seminyak, shops, and restaurants while still being far enough from traffic and noise. Craig was helpful and flexible about extending our booking, which we’d made before Covid. The staff were excellent and always ready to help. Putu and Agus drove us wherever we needed to go, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Nyoman cooked breakfast every day and could make whatever we wanted for dinner; we just paid for the ingredients. Wayan helped too. They also filled the fridge with the drinks we’d asked for, and we paid them when we arrived. The team are a real credit to the villas. They spoke adequate English, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We lived in villa 7 for 1.5 years. The first six months were great, but then things started falling apart. During rainy weather, water dripped from the ceiling in every bathroom in the three-bedroom villa. The doors had holes and were rotten. They did replace the AC when we asked because it wasn’t working, and helped repair our coffee machine. The management got less professional the longer we stayed. The water kept breaking, and they couldn’t fix it, so we went several days without any. After it was repaired, it broke again the next day, leaving us without hot water for a week or more. There were also electricity problems. In our final month, they began pool repairs and we couldn’t use it for about five days. This felt disrespectful, especially since we were long-term residents. Those are just some of the issues. I wouldn’t return.

I’ve stayed here several times in both two- and three-bedroom villas, and I’d happily recommend them. They’re close to Legian beach, the pools are big enough for swimming with a shallow area for little kids, and the bedroom air conditioning works really well. The staff are dedicated and can even arrange birthday cakes and surprises at short notice.

A quiet place to unwind, but still close to the busy centre of Legian. The five bedrooms are huge, the pool is clean and big enough to swim in, and there’s a kitchen and TV area too. What more would you expect from a villa in a tourist spot?
