Stark Boutique Hotel and Spa Bali

I've stayed at Stark on and off for six months. There's always been some issue, though it has always been sorted out. Still, as a returning guest, I feel they should know what I prefer by now and that problems shouldn't keep coming up. Other guests can be really noisy, so I use brown noise to block it out. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, but the bathrooms could be cleaner. On my last trip, the pool didn't feel clean and the pH seemed off to me, so the water might need testing and treatment. There's no shade by the pool, and the loungers are uncomfortable. The bar food is good, but drinks are very expensive. I've had breakfast now and then, but even at 7am the hot food is always cold. It's close to the beach and some good restaurants. The area is heavily dominated by Indians. I recommend Norm for food and drinks, Bali ocean spa for a massage, and Ash Beauty for hair and beauty treatments.

Staff were always nice, and I enjoyed the pool, which has a nice view where you can see some airplanes. The room was large, pleasant, and clean, and breakfast was okay. There was some noise, and I could smell tobacco in the corridor and a bit in my room from other rooms. I really didn't like that, though maybe I was just unlucky. I enjoyed my couple of nights here.

A really affordable place to stay longer if you're trying to save, and it also works perfectly as a transit hotel. The location is very close to the airport, and the service was wonderful. For $7.50, breakfast is all you can eat. It's my first visit, but I'll definitely return. The price is incredibly good for the quality of the place and its location. Highly recommend.

The breakfast buffet was very good, the reception was great, and it's near the airport, N mart, and dobi. My room had no view, so when booking I'd choose the executive option and pay a bit more to get a window and natural light. Pest control was poor, with lots of small cockroaches. The worst part was finding a staff member trying to go through my luggage when I went out and asked for the room to be cleaned. They had no business trying to open it, and luckily I had locked it. A very bad experience, and I won't return.
