Surfers Inn Lombok by OYO Rooms

We booked two nights but left after the first, and weren't refunded for the unused night. I have low expectations for cheap accommodation, but even I found this place uninhabitable. The air conditioner was broken, springs stuck out of the mattress, and the bathroom door was moldy and falling apart. There wasn't a proper shower, just one sprayer apparently used for both the bidet and shower. There was no TV, which I didn't care about, though the pictures showed one. There are 100 better places to stay in Kuta. I rarely leave bad reviews, but consider this a warning to travelers.

We ended up booking another hotel next door after finding a broken, leaking toilet, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, exposed wiring, stained sheets and curtains, and other problems. Staff first said they'd refund us if they couldn't fix the toilet, but when it remained broken, they refused to honor that promise. They also wouldn't give us the manager or owner's number. When we politely tried to discuss the refund, the employees left on a scooter for hours, leaving no one at the front desk for other guests either. Only about half the rooms seemed open, with the rest under construction. The Booking.com pictures look either very old or heavily edited. This felt like a scam, and you can find somewhere better for the same price or less.

Kenzo, one of the staff at Surfers beachfront, was awesome and helped sort out anything I ran into, both at the accommodation and around Lombok. He was so supportive, helpful and kind. This is the best place to stay in Lombok, a must for your trip!

Kenzo was such a great guy, super nice and helpful. We felt really welcome by him and everyone else at the hostel. The rooms were nice and clean too. We had an excellent time at surfers beachfront and would absolutely recommend it.
