The Diana Suite Hotel

I only stayed one night. I arrived very late and was exhausted, so I couldn't look for another hotel at that hour. Being fairly close to the airport can work for a short stop, but the room and bathroom were in very poor shape. There was damp damage, peeling paint, stained walls and mold, and it clearly hadn't been cleaned or maintained properly. The bathroom smelled unpleasant and didn't feel hygienic. The AC kept cutting out and working only intermittently, making the humid room uncomfortable. The location is strategic, though the surrounding area wasn't pleasant, and the narrow street was poorly maintained. As a pregnant guest, I need cleanliness and comfort. This stay didn't meet even basic expectations, and I wouldn't recommend the property.

For the money, the hotel looks good enough, and the staff were all helpful and friendly, especially the receptionist mbak 🫶🏼. It's a handy starting point, around 5-10 minutes from the International Airport depending on traffic. Just know it's tucked down an alley, so it gets pretty dark.

I wouldn't recommend The Diana Suites. The room was poorly maintained and below an acceptable standard for cleanliness. Torn, dirty curtains, stained and damp walls, visible mold, damaged wardrobe doors with peeling surfaces, and a dusty-looking AC unit. There were mosquitoes in the room as well, which made it even less comfortable. The hotel sits far inside a narrow, dark, dirty lane that didn't feel safe or pleasant. When I brought up the problems at reception, the staff member was rude and told me I could check out if I wasn't happy. I was raising genuine concerns, so that response felt upsetting and unprofessional.

I arrived from Australia on my first day, and had booked the family room because my mom and niece were coming to meet me. The cleanliness and hygiene were poor throughout, and it looked nothing like the photos. Thankfully, it was only a one-night trial.
