I wouldn’t give this place even one star. The hotel was in disrepair and seemed to be getting worse fast. Some lights didn’t work, floors and surfaces were dirty, and the showers felt dangerously slippery, with rusty metal fittings and shower heads that didn’t work. The water felt like it could carry multiple diseases. Toilets often had no paper, were wet all over, and had broken locks. The bedding was dirty and stuffy, and sleeping there felt like being in a coffin. The key card doors were easy to use, but staff and residents kept wedging them open with towels, leaving security close to nonexistent. To get into the property, you had to walk through the smoking area, which felt like it was drastically shortening my life. Upstairs was dirty too, with torn, moldy cushions. The photos were misleading and looked computer generated before this poor excuse for a hostel was even built. Avoid it.

I don’t recommend this hostel. There was shouting and screaming in the evenings, the bedding was dirty, and the toilets and showers were disgusting. No hand soap was provided in the toilets, and the lights didn’t always work. The dorm doors couldn’t be locked because staff repeatedly wedged them open with a towel, so security felt poor. The rooms smelled because people hung damp clothes everywhere. I booked through booking.com, which listed it as four stars with good reviews, but that was a lie.

I’d stayed here several times before and liked the atmosphere and facilities, but my most recent visit, November 3-5, 2025, was a shock. Things were deteriorating without repairs or improvements. The toilets were more poorly maintained and smelled bad, the elevator buttons were broken, and the pantry was getting dirtier and more neglected. My access card wouldn’t open the room door. On the first night, a Russian guest who seemed to have a mental disorder disturbed my sleep. I changed rooms, but on the second night another guest smoked in the toilet, and the smell drifted into my room. I’m confused by how little firm action the staff took to deal with these problems. I’ll think twice before returning to this hostel.

I’ve been staying here for three years and it’s been good, not bad. Sometimes you have to understand when the dryer isn’t working. So far, over those three years, it’s been good.

The cold rooms were welcome after hot days out, but that’s about the only good thing. We booked a 10-bed mixed dorm and were assigned an 18-bed room. The bathrooms and showers were awful: no soap, a strong smell of feces in the shower room, and doors that didn’t close, with three quarters of them missing altogether. Both areas looked like they were cleaned only twice a week. Dorm doors were constantly propped open with a towel, which raised security concerns. My partner and I were bitten by something overnight, and both of us ended up needing doctors and the pharmacy, with two weeks of medication. Staff also opened people’s curtains to check if anyone was there. One morning I had to wake my partner by going up to her bunk. When I came down, staff stared at us and questioned whether I was staying there at all, and whether we’d just done something naughty.
