The Radiant Hotel

It’s handy for the airport, and my friend and I only stayed a few hours before our flight. The air conditioning was cold and the shower had hot water. Still, I’d look at other hotels too.

We left after about 15 minutes because the place was so bad that I worried we’d get sick if we stayed. I’d like a refund as soon as possible. The woman at the front desk was lovely, but she couldn’t make up for the condition of the hotel. The air conditioning only blew hot air, even after two men tried to fix it, and the room smelled worse than outside. The garden was mostly dead, fish were gasping in very dirty water, and fallen asbestos was visible in the garden. There was mold and the property looked badly neglected. The website photos must be many years old. This is the most revolting hotel I’ve seen in Bali, where I’ve been visiting and staying in different places for 20 years.

We’re only here for a few hours before flying out, and even at a cheap price this place isn’t worth booking. The shower gives just a couple of drops of freezing water, and when I lightly wiped the bathroom floor with a towel, it came up black. The beds are badly stained, the air conditioning blows hot air, and the TV doesn’t work. Paint is peeling off the walls, and the rooms are so dim at night. There’s no soap by the bathroom sink either. We’ve been here for hours and have only seen staff. This is the worst hotel in the world. Don’t book it. It’s feral, and I wish zero stars were an option.

For a late flight, this works well as a place to leave your bags, take a hot shower, and have a rest or nap. It’s very close to the airport, with several places to eat nearby and Lippo Mall an easy walk away. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel is old and could use some maintenance, but it’s hard to beat for transit or a short stay.
