Manager Dodi made the stay especially nice by arranging a lovely room and treating me so warmly. The staff were kind, too, and made the trip more enjoyable. I was happier than I’d expected to be here. The view was stunning, with the distant ocean in sight, and watching both sunrise and sunset from my room felt restorative. I definitely want to come back.

We meant to stay two nights at Truntum Hotel, but liked it enough to extend to four. The peaceful setting a little away from the main area worked well for us since we had a scooter. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the pool was beautiful and spotless. We didn’t have breakfast included, so I can’t speak to it. What really made the stay was the staff, who were welcoming, always smiling, and quick to offer help with transport or plans for the day. I asked if there were masks and snorkels to borrow. There weren’t any at first, but the next day a staff member brought his son’s set for me to use. Such a thoughtful gesture. We had a great time, and the people we met here in Lombok were the warmest.

My daughter was admitted to hospital on December 19 with Influenza A, with severe coughing and a high risk of passing it on. I had a non-refundable reservation at Truntum Boutique Hotel for December 21-24, 2025, and notified the hotel right away, sending official hospital documentation. I also explained that her ongoing cough could disturb other guests. They still insisted we come and stay, and offered no flexibility. The dispute went to the booking platform. Even after the app tried to arrange a refund or a new date, the hotel held to its position that we should stay while she was sick. We had another non-refundable booking at a different 4-star hotel for December 24-26. That hotel refunded us promptly and wished my daughter a recovery. Here, I lost money and was shocked by what felt like a lack of social responsibility. In all my stays at 4 and 5-star hotels around the world, I’ve never dealt with management so indifferent to public health. Refusing a refund or reschedule effectively encourages sick guests to bring contagious viruses into the lobby, elevators, and dining areas. If you want a hotel that cares about guests and the community, I suggest looking elsewhere.

They upgraded our room for free and also arranged the honeymoon setup we requested. The staff were lovely, and we enjoyed dinner and the pool with its many views. Breakfast is ordered from a menu, and the food was tasty overall.
