Ganggas Homestay

Ketut and Putu were great to deal with. Whenever something came up, they got it sorted quickly, and we had no unresolved problems during our nearly two months there. The location is handy too, with beaches, shops, the airport, and immigration just minutes away without getting caught in traffic. We felt safe leaving our valuables and money in the room. It’s good value, but keep in mind that you’ll be living alongside local residents, and their culture may feel different from the pace you’re used to.

I stayed for 13 days and found it a good place for work as well as a longer stay. The room was spacious and clean, with good internet, plenty of water, and a kitchen you can use for free. You can also ask to have your room cleaned daily. There’s an ATM and minimarket not too far away.

I was here for three months, and it’s a really pleasant place with a convenient location. My ratings, based on what was offered, were 5 for location, 4.5 for comfort, and 5 for the conditions. The hostess was wonderful, and Putu was a responsible employee. It was nice dealing with the other staff too, they were always ready to help or offer advice. There’s also a beautiful view from the roof.

The building is in really poor condition, and the so-called “delux” room was awful. Towels and blanket were dirty, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and the toilet had pee marks all over it. I even found cigarette butts in the drawers. The only upside was the cheap food places nearby. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
