Villa Tiah

The villa has big TVs, fridges upstairs and downstairs, air conditioner everywhere, and lots of places to chill. Breakfast was good, and cleaning was decent, though the towels and bed covers are old. There’s only small soup, so don’t expect anything else. Water wasn’t always hot. They fixed it somehow, but said not to overuse it because it’s not good for the environment and there isn’t much. It’s heated naturally, as the photo shows. The villa is big enough for groups, but only 3 rooms have private bats, with one more bath for the other 3. Some rooms have no windows, some beds are very fragile, and the sealing on the stairs felt down in the pictures. Luckily no-one was home. There’s also an open space from downstairs to upstairs that isn’t quite protected, so big bugs may show up. The pool is mostly for design. Getting there took a long time because the Google pin was wrong. We fixed it and hope it’s better for tourists using Google Maps. Trying to get an uber is like the street doesn’t exist, so try going outside in front of best western. We were charged 20k per person for passport copy, so make sure to bring one. The neighbourhood is ok, though there’s a lot of construction around, and the route to the beach goes through a very strange and scary place behind the water park. It was safe, though. It’s a 15 -20 min walk to a good beack. I one did not enjoy it that much. It’s not on the upside of 3 stars, and if you go to kuta better go a beach resort, with a pool and sunbeds. The prices are big too. They wanted 200k for airport transport, but we found uber with 48 and taxi with 50. Use uber, it’s way cheaper. About the house, if they invest a little they can get the best out of it.

Our 13 member family group spent nine days at the property and thoroughly enjoyed it. The host was exceptionally helpful, putting together an itinerary suited to our intergenerational group, including elderly members and young children. We’re truly grateful for the thoughtful service and warm hospitality throughout. The driver the host arranged was kind hearted and patient, adapting to all our requests.

Every room had a TV and WiFi, and a chef came each day to cook breakfast. The cleaner also cleaned the villa, changed the bedsheets, and cleaned the toilet. Satisfied with the good villa service, and happy to have stayed here for a Bali holiday.

A neighbour burned rubbish the whole 3 days we were there. What really ruined the stay for me, though, was discovering 5 security camera’s around the villa, something the booking information hadn’t mentioned. We found one in the kitchen above the giant mirror, one outside above the pool, one in the upstairs living area, and 2 on the upstairs balcony. Not knowing if there were more camera’s made the whole stay feel very paranoid.
