Villa Valito

Mickey and his staff made this stay feel special. Mickey, the owner, has the best hospitality I’ve come across in nearly 30 countries. He helped with whatever we needed, took us to dinner in Kuta and Mataram, the capital of Lombok, where I had the best seafood ever, and arranged a waterfall tour, golf, and more. We’ve become friends, and he even looked after our luggage while we visited Kuala Lumpur before coming here. We originally spent three nights at Villa Teraum and liked it so much that we wanted to try Villa Valito too. We felt at home as soon as we came in, and got upgraded to the honeymoon suite. The balcony is as wide as the room and has a great view. The bathroom is enormous, almost another room. The room and pool are cleaned daily, the facilities are spot on, and there are several breakfast options. It’s up on a hill, peaceful, with amazing views, about a 10-minute scooter ride from busy Kuta. We extended our stay at least three times because we didn’t want to leave. Warmest recommendation for both Villa Valito and Villa Teraum. You won’t regret it. 10/10.

My mate and I had a great week of surfing from this convenient, central spot. The two-year-old villa had excellent facilities, and the staff and service were fantastic, a real credit to the owner. We could get to all the surf spots easily, then come back and enjoy a delicious cocktail in the pool overlooking the Kuta Bay surf break.

That sunset from the balcony was stunning, and the view is one of the best in the villa. The location was perfect. After two hours riding my scooter in the rain, I was exhausted, and the staff were so kind and understanding. Everything was neat, and the food was tasty with plenty of variety. I was sad to leave. I really needed that quiet space and peaceful view. Thanks again, and hopefully see you soon 🤗

The one drawback for me was that Kuta Bay isn’t visible. Villa Valito sits on a hillside a few minutes outside Kuta, and I’d recommend it if you’re going to the Moto GP at Circuit Mandalika, which you can easily walk to. Our huge room gave us the option of stepping straight into the pool. A little above the pool there’s a bar and some tables for drinks or meals outdoors, and the food was really tasty. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
