Village Vibes Lombok

The staff were the best part of my stay, and I ended up extending twice. When I couldn’t keep the same basic small room for my second extension, they gave me a discount on a larger room with a king bed. They even moved my bags while I was out. The room was comfortable, had great AC, and was a private room at a really decent price. I enjoyed the breakfast and all the food I tried. Scooter rental and laundry are available too. After I got badly sunburned in Kuta, they cut aloe from plants on the property for me, and it worked great. I liked being away from the busy main street. Most places are at least a 20-minute walk, which didn’t bother me, and getting around by scooter was easy. Thanks, Village Vibes!

The beds were actually quite comfortable, and the staff were friendly, though their English wasn’t very strong. The noise level was generally good, but the mosque could be heard in the morning and woke us up. The pool was out of order for our whole stay. Our rooms weren’t very clean either, with lots of brown marks on the walls and furniture. Breakfast was too small, and the fruit juice had no taste. Other places in the same price range served much better and larger breakfasts. Scooter rental was quite good, but the taxi and driver service was very overpriced. You really need to ride a scooter to get around here. We tried walking to the nearest restaurant once, and the road was dangerous and left us dirty. Almost everything else fell short.

I stayed here for about a month, moving out now and then only when it was fully booked. The place was put together so well, with nice rooms, fresh AC, and daily cleaning. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I loved the breakfast choices and smoothies. I enjoyed every minute of it. Next time I’m in Kuta, I know I’ll be back.

We spent two nights here and would gladly return. The garden pool area was quiet, away from Kuta’s hustle and bustle, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The little cafe on site was handy, with tasty, simple food. We used the vehicle service twice, and it was punctual and good value.
