Pandawa Hill Resort

A very good resort. The rooms and pool were clean, the staff were super friendly, and the restaurant was good too. Staying at the hotel also gets you free entry to three beaches.

I stayed at this hotel for almost 2 month and would have stayed longer if not for the disrespect from the general manager. What first seemed like a pleasant, well-kept place turned into a serious health and safety concern because of poor maintenance and very unprofessional management. There was a persistent mold smell in my room from the first weeks of my stay. Later I found visible mold behind furniture. Staff scraped it and painted over it several times instead of properly treating it, and it kept returning and growing. The odor stayed strong and affected my well-being. Mold is a health hazard, not a matter of personal preference. The gym had visible mold and a strong smell too, so it was unusable even though guests pay for the facilities. My room balcony faced the restaurant and pool. Loud music played early in the morning on multiple occasions, around 6-8 AM. When I asked for the volume to be lowered, I was told, “No one sleeps at this time.” They did turn it down when I called, but the same problem kept happening, which was frustrating. During busy holiday periods, pool noise also carried on late at night and into the early morning. Despite posted rules asking people not to disturb others, nothing effective was done. The “Manager” asked if I had kids, which seemed ridiculous when the issue was other guests' privacy. Housekeeping was patchy and superficial. Tables, shelves, surfaces, the refrigerator, bins, bathroom mirrors, and floors were often left dirty, and the bins were never washed. Once, after broken glass and spilled food made the room unsafe, staff refused to clean because their cleaning hours were over. They used strong air freshener instead, which made me more uncomfortable. I called again and explained that I couldn't leave broken glass on the floor. They eventually came back and cleaned it somehow, but at what cost? The main manager's behavior was the worst part. When I raised the mold issue and asked for proper treatment or contact with the owner so I could try to get the room treated myself, he repeatedly spoke to me in a dismissive, humiliating way. He asked, “Who are you?” and “Are you the owner?” and said, “If you don't like it, leave.” Instead of dealing with the maintenance and health problem, management chose confrontation and eviction. I was told to check out the next day just for insisting on safe living conditions. This was the worst service ever. To be fair, the bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, the restaurant had good food options, and the rooms look pleasant on the surface. Other staff, especially the women at reception, were friendly and sweet. But that doesn't make up for the mold, health risks, noise, poor cleaning, and disrespectful management. The hotel has potential, but the structural mold problems and unprofessional management made my long stay unsafe and stressful. I can't recommend it until the mold is properly treated and management improves.

We were really happy with our two-day stay at Pandawa Hill Resort during our KKL. The interior impressed us, and it was so comfortable. Everyone gave us a warm welcome, and the staff responded quickly. Breakfast was included too. Such a great experience! 🤍

The free access to Pandawa Beach was a great bonus and added real value to my stay. My experience was lovely from check-in through checkout. Vita at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful, with good suggestions for places to visit nearby. The rooms were clean.
