Blue Parrot

The property has an amazing view, especially from the breakfast room. Harry was a great host.

We liked being just beyond the busy part of Labuan Bajo, while still within walking distance of all the restaurants. We stayed here both before and after our boat trip into Komodo National Park. The rooms have a rack outside for drying clothes, and the sunset view is lovely, though it isn’t visible from our room. There are three rooms, and only one has that view, as does the breakfast area. The place was very clean, with a spacious bathroom and clean towels. Breakfast was delicious: omelette, toast with cheese and/or strawberry jam, fruit, and yogurt with granola. Sound does come through the rooms. The glass door doesn’t close tightly, and a bathroom window is too high to shut. We heard the mosque at night, though that’s hard to avoid anyway.

Blue Parrot Komodo felt special and comfortable, with a lovely terrace. I had a wonderful one-night stay there for my BIRTHDAY. After check-in, the owner brought me a cake and sang to me. Who doesn’t love being sung to?

Nothing bothered us at Blue Parrot Komodo. It’s a cozy little place, well maintained, and excellent for the price. The receptionist was extremely courteous and had good restaurant suggestions. Everything was clean and spacious, the bed felt fresh, and we couldn’t find dirt anywhere. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.
