We appreciated being moved upstairs on our last night. That room felt much better, and we felt it was farther from whatever problems the downstairs rooms had. If we'd stayed upstairs the whole time, we'd give the stay 4 stars. But two of our three nights were uncomfortable, and overall, after six months traveling around South East Asia and dozens of other stays, this didn't feel like good value for money. I've included photos to show the cleanliness problems in our room. In the downstairs room, there was a large cockroach in the bathroom, along with lots of mosquitoes and geckos. We had to deal with the cockroach ourselves. The bathroom was damp, mouldy, dirty, and smelled bad, and the bathmat was stained. The toilet leaked, leaving the floor wet. The bathroom window and drainage didn't seem properly sealed, which may have let the animals in. We asked to switch rooms but were told there was no space. There were also no bedside lamps like the ones shown in the pictures, so we had to use the main light all night. It's a simple thing, but it matters for nighttime comfort. The start of our stay was unpleasant. They eventually fixed the situation, but most of the nights weren't comfortable.

The rooms on the lower level are small and have limited windows, but that was fine for us since we were out all day. The place was easy to find, close to the airport, and had most of what we needed. Upstairs there's a restaurant with a range of traditional meals and Flores coffees, plus plenty of souvenirs to take home. Staff were friendly and helped with what we needed, from scooter rental to airport pickup and drop-off for a fair extra charge. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone needing somewhere to sleep in Labuan Bajo.

Being able to walk to both the airport and the city center was convenient. The rest of my stay was a letdown, though. The internet kept dropping out even with several networks available, and the bathroom had mould. There were stains on the bed and sheets, and the shower curtain looked like it had never been washed. The mosquitoes were the worst part. I think there was a hole in the net, because I got more bites inside this hotel than I ever have anywhere else. They were Aedes mosquitoes, too, so if you're trying to avoid dengue, I'd stay somewhere else. Staff also played shows loudly in the lobby, which made a midday nap impossible, and most of them seemed uninterested.

Breakfast had lots of great choices, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with working hot water and AC. The staff were helpful, and I liked the nice, trendy souvenirs. It's close to the airport and local gift shops too. Please keep it up!

The room was quite clean, and I really enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast. Try the sei sapi, it was so delicious. There's also a famous chicken porridge place beside the hotel for only 25k.
