Eco Tree O'tel

We had a quiet stay, and the rooms were clean and tidy. No problems with either the room or bathroom. Depending on the floor, though, your room may not have a window or view. The outside of the hotel gave us a moment's doubt, but the friendly, welcoming staff and good value made for a great experience. It's right on the main street, with cafés and restaurants along both sides. There's also a restaurant of its own where you can sit, eat, relax, and enjoy the view. Massage packages are available on the second floor, and it's wiser to book ahead instead of hoping for a spot. I'd recommend it to solo travelers or friends traveling together. If you're after premium service or a fancier stay, this may not be the place for you.

The rooftop setting is a big part of the appeal, with a great view and a pleasant afternoon breeze. The staff are amazing too. If you're in Labuan Bajo and want a good meal, this has become our regular spot. I can recommend the pesto chicken sandwich, Indo chicken noodles, and tom yum soup. Breakfast was spectacular too, especially the French toast with fruit, and the coffee is to die for.

Reception were lovely and helpful. When it rained, they even kept my helmet safe for me. Getting around from the hotel was easy, too. I had a very pleasant one-night stay at Eco Tree Hotel Labuan Bajo. The room was clean and nicely designed, with a roomy, comfortable bathroom. The rooftop café has a beautiful view; the iced latte was a little light for my taste, but the food was delicious overall. I'd definitely come back.

The bed and pillows were dirty, with lots of sand on them when we got back from showering and went to sleep. The bathroom was in bad shape too: a broken door and sink tap, and a shower with just one setting, hot enough to cook Indomie. Cold water came out with barely more than drizzle-like pressure. The air conditioning didn't work well, and the airport pickup arrived late, but we were still charged for it. Worst experience ever. Don't stay here.
