Kasuwari Hotel

There’s a small warung right in front of the hotel with tasty, inexpensive food, and the center is about a 10-minute walk away. We loved having breakfast delivered to our room when we wanted, then eating it on the balcony. The owner was always helpful and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay. We’d happily come back.

The rooms aren’t fancy, but they were good, and the place has a homely feel. We arrived at 10pm without a booking, and the very sweet owner gave us the last room. He also helped arrange breakfast, the nasi was very good, and got us some ice.

At 250K IDR a night, you get two double beds, which is a great deal even if you’re traveling alone. The room was clean, the A/C worked well, and the rest was decent for the price. My bathroom, though, was in poor shape and smelled bad. The Wi-Fi was very weak too. A shame when the rest was quite decent.

We stayed for 5 nights. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and it’s easy to walk into town. The rooms are basic but fine, with clean sheets, and I liked having a terrace. Cleanliness was just okay: there were still ants in the room and the bathrooms smelled. We’d specifically booked a double but were given a twin room. Hot water is only available on the third floor. Decent enough for a budget stay.
