Exotic Komodo Hotel

We had a good time. The room was great, clean, and had good AC, and the staff were friendly. It's a one minute walk from the airport, so everything we needed was there. One small note: the hotel offers an outside laundry service for 33K per kilo, though I found a place on the street for 12 p/kg.

Our room had a balcony and a mountain view, and it was spacious. Since the hotel sits right in front of the airport, you can watch planes take off and land. Don't expect quiet, it's not a resort, but it's quite nice as a transit hotel. The room was clean, with amenities, hot water, and free snacks and drinks. There's no breakfast, but Nasi Padang and Alfamart are next door.

I chose this hotel because it is directly across the street from the airport. After landing, I walked over and checked in for one night, which saved me another cab ride to the port in the morning. That convenience is why I'm giving it five stars. The staff were extremely helpful at check-in and made arranging a morning cab easy. Our large room had a balcony, so we could spread out our luggage while planning our sailing adventure. It faced east, and we got an unexpected sunrise view. Sidewalks nearby made it easy to walk to local restaurants for dinner, and the WIFI was awesome. There's no elevator, so you'll need to roll, carry, or shuffle your bags up to the room. Staff will take them if you ask. I chose to carry one myself.

A nice, homey hotel, very close to Komodo airport.
