Golo Hilltop Hotel

The pool was amazing, and the property has a beautiful view. The staff and owners were otherwise very nice. They apologized the next day because they hadn't received our messages, but I think there should be an emergency contact for overnight. There was no staff around that night when our neighbors started yelling at each other at 1am. They swore at us when we asked them to quiet down, and we were awake for two hours before an early excursion. The rooms could use some updates. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable, even for Asia. Our toilet kept running, and the flush buttons stuck, so I had to fix it several times. The big windows had a view, but the light curtains let all the light in.

The view is like none other, and the owner was welcoming with friendly staff. We had two rooms for us and our two adult daughters, one with a large bed for us and one next door with two smaller beds. Both rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. There are lots of steps, but that didn't bother us. The breakfast was good, and with few rooms, the pool and open-air dining area never felt crowded. They had free water refills around the clock and packed breakfast and towels for our boat day trip. They also arranged airport taxis both ways and a dinner outing one evening. It was easy to find bikes or get food delivered on Grab. Glad we stayed at Golo Hilltop Hotel.

Golo Hilltop Hotel was quiet and pleasant, with a friendly owner and staff who made us feel at home. We were traveling with children and asked for two rooms next to each other. They were considerate and put us on the reception level, which made access easy for everyone. We truly enjoyed our stay, thank you ❤️

The views are to die for, and the staff were very helpful. I found it a great location: about a 15-minute walk into town, with good pavements and a pleasant route. The rooms are simple, clean and well maintained, and breakfast was simple but good. For me, this feels like an authentic place to stay, where trust seems to be a core value, something sadly lacking in some places. Great value too. I thought I'd add my view to all the positive experiences others have shared.
