Green Prundi Hotel

The staff made us feel at home from the start. They were warm, smiling, and quick to help with anything we needed, and it was clear they cared about their guests. That made the whole stay much more enjoyable. I’d happily come back.

I spent three separate nights here over two weeks, across two different QB rooms, and paid 315000rp. The gardens are pleasant, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast buffet is decent for the room price. It’s an easy walk to the airport and about 15 minutes on foot to town, with some steep stretches. Once the air conditioning had been running a while, the room cooled nicely, and both rooms had good hot water. Just don’t leave the bathroom light and fan on. The main issue for me was the condition of the rooms. They didn’t seem very clean: the towels and linen were stained, the walls need a proper scrub or repaint, and the old, worn bathroom looked unclean. In one room, the shower walls were long gone. There’s a large gap under the entrance door, so mosquitoes, little centipedes, and smoke from the verandah chairs get in. The WiFi was the worst I’ve had at a hotel in Asia, apart from places that don’t advertise WiFi at all. It barely worked and kept cutting out. Staff suggested using it in the lobby, which doesn’t solve the problem of having WiFi in the room. I’ve seen poor WiFi mentioned in about half the reviews here, so the owner or management seems not to consider it important. There’s also a pool, but it looks like it hasn’t held water in years. The fountain feature had algae-green water; it was cleaned while I was there, then looked green again a week later. For a night or two, I guess it’s good value if you can put up with the unreliable WiFi and the run-down rooms, sheets, and towels.

We left after just one night for a cheaper hotel that was cleaner, more comfortable, and had a much better breakfast. We’d booked this place partly because of the pool, but it was out of service. Our room faced the main road, so street noise and light kept coming in through the night and made sleep difficult. The room itself wasn’t clean, and the bathroom was old, worn out, and unpleasant. Based on our stay, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The people working here are amazing, super kind and helpful, and the location is great if you want to be away from tourists. I’d like to support the business, but some basics need attention. The garden design is terrible, and I wasn’t a fan of the room: the bathroom stays wet, the pillows and bedding are heavily perfumed, and the bed is so soft it hurts my spine. Cracks also let bugs in. Even the logo could use work.
