Raffles Inn Labuan Bajo

They treated me well here. There are lots of trees, so it stays really cool even when the weather is hot. A great spot to stay.

The breakfast really impressed me. It came with kompiang, bread, and fried rice with chicken, though the portion was huge for one person. The staff were nice, and there's a pool too. The owner welcomed us warmly. My room was very clean and had air conditioning, and the bathroom was clean with all the amenities provided. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Labuan Bajo.

We were four people with two separate rooms booked, but the property couldn't accommodate us, so we never actually stayed. The local man and his wife who were there offered to show us rooms, but every room we chose was unavailable because it had no water installation, no mirror, or no bedsheets. In short, there weren't any rooms ready for us to check in. The staff member said the property wasn't finished and that the owner and his engineer were still expected to arrive later that day. Since no room was available, there was no discussion about extra beds, and we hadn't asked for any. We booked through Traveloka and the reservation was non-refundable, so we contacted customer service for help. It's a pity the owner had to lie about what happened. The owner's response was that we had asked to put more than three people in each room without intending to pay for extra beds. How could that be? He wasn't even there. Selling an unfinished property shouldn't be allowed on Traveloka or any other hotel booking service.

The pool was big and clean, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Breakfast got better each day, and on our last day they even had banana cake. It's a great place to stay close to the center of Labuan Bajo.
