The sunset from the terrace was a real highlight, with a beautiful view across the bay and the boats at anchor. The house is in a great spot too, about a five-minute walk from the main diving centers and the town's main street. Jon and his family made us feel welcome right away during our four-night stay. They were kind, attentive and happy to suggest places to visit or good restaurants. Their puppy Molly greeted us cheerfully each morning and evening. We also appreciated that they kept filtered drinking water available, and when we lost our room key, they didn't make a fuss about it. This is a local family's home, not a luxury hotel, and it has a simple, authentic charm. Our room was very clean and had air conditioning, with surprisingly few mosquitoes compared with elsewhere on the island. The bathroom was basic but fine for a comfortable stay. Towels and a bigger mirror would have been nice to have. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone after comfort, cleanliness and a warm local feel in Labuan Bajo.

The terrace has a lovely, peaceful view, and the place is close to both the port and the city center while staying quiet. John welcomed us so warmly and went out of his way to help. He was accommodating and kind throughout. Thanks for the smiles and hospitality, John. I'd recommend staying here!

The owner and his family made us feel so welcome, and the accommodation is comfortable with a really homey feel. I'd stay here again if I come to LBJ 🫶🏻
