Club Med Bintan Island

We really enjoyed our conversations with Shaz, Beverly, Chris, Martin, Sandy, Wely, Kawi, and Zippy. They were so welcoming and warm, and gave our four-day stay a great mix of relaxing time and exciting fun. There were loads of activities at Clubmed, friendly interactions with the staff, and good vibes around the clock. Getting from the Bintan ferry terminal to the resort took just 20 minutes, and reception got us settled quickly. We’d been looking forward to the water activities, so it would’ve helped to know they were closed before we confirmed our booking. We had to ask our driver to take us snorkeling outside the hotel. We also wished the bars stayed open later. The water activities were closed until April, so check before booking. Since it was off season, we did enjoy the extra attention and calm. A few tips: download the app before packing, since activities like tennis and trapeze need specific outfits, and the app helps plan your days. There’s no room service, so bring snacks if you like something to eat late at night.

Beverly’s yoga classes were a highlight of the stay. Her instructions were clear and calming, and the classes suited all levels, a lovely way to start the day. Frantz also kept checking in to see if everything was going well, which made the stay feel personal and relaxed. The setting and activities were great, and the hospitality was amazing. The Club Med Bintan staff were warm and friendly from the moment we arrived. I’d happily come back!

My first solo trip was a quick two-day escape to Club Med Bintan, and it was blissfully relaxing. The food had a good range, and there were plenty of activities. My room was old, but clean and comfortable. I would’ve liked to stay in one of the renovated rooms. Beverly, the aerial yoga instructor, was patient, encouraging, and so friendly and fun. I enjoyed her class enough to take it twice, and she helped me manage some impressive poses I never thought I could do. She even kindly took photos for me. Jeevan made it easy to register for class and was very friendly to chat with. At dinner, I had a warm, welcoming conversation with Ruby too. No complaints, just a relaxing break. Definitely not my last trip 🌴

We were “Charlie’s Angels,” a group of friends away together, and the lovely weather helped make it a special trip. The beach was clean and beautiful, with enough loungers that it never felt crowded. It was a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunrise, and the location was fantastic. We’re looking forward to returning after the refurbishments. It already seems clear it’s going to look amazing. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Tongky, who was always smiling and went out of his way to help with our reservations and make the stay memorable.
