The staff were much friendlier than I expected, and whenever I needed help, they were around. The floors had been swept and mopped properly, too. I stayed recently with my two kids. The room looked dated, and a few things weren't working quite right. Even though the hotel is on a main road, traffic noise wasn't an issue. I'm happy with the stay, though the building needs some work.

The room was spacious, and I liked the bed size and shower, but the place wasn't well maintained. Service could be better: no one greeted us in the lobby. A staff member appeared on the way to our room and offered to carry our bags, but we were almost at the room and declined. The staff seemed limited and weren't very helpful. I hope the hotel improves its upkeep and service, especially staffing and cleanliness, and is better prepared to serve guests once the pandemic is over.

The hot water could have been hotter. Otherwise, the hotel was really well maintained, with an excellent pool and a clean, inviting lobby. Our room was huge, and the bed and pillows were good. We paid about $100 AUD a night for a Junior Suite. It was cash only. The restaurant was good and very clean, with mostly traditional Indonesian dishes, mainly noodles and rice. Depending on what you order, the food is tasty, but don't expect steak and chips or bacon and eggs. The hotel feels quite modern and was very clean. Rooms facing the road can be a bit noisy. I'd recommend staying here.

The pool and gardens around it were nice. The hotel itself was nice too, but the rooms, especially the bathrooms, felt dated. There was no WiFi in my room, and the connection by reception was so slow I gave up on it. I also found blood stains on the sheets, and there wasn't a laptop-friendly workspace in the room.

The rooms are a good size and the view is lovely, so it feels like the hotel could be very good. But the upkeep was poor. There was dust and mould everywhere, cobwebs in the door frames, dirty sheets, and a disgusting bathroom. I complained and they sent the cleaning team, which helped a little. At breakfast, beetles and other insects were crawling over the fruit and omelette. They should get new cleaning staff or pay the current team higher salaries.
