The cliffside setting and infinity pool are lovely, and the staff were very nice. The rooms are spacious, but they’ve clearly fallen into neglect. The cleaning details left a lot to be desired, even though our room was serviced every day. It’s sad to see what could once have been a very nice retreat needing major repairs and maintenance. For the relatively high price in Balian, I expected more.

Balian’s local community is laid back and friendly, and there were consistent waves out front. We loved having drinks by the Infinity pool at sunset and waking up to breakfast each morning. Magnus, Erna and their lovely staff welcomed us as soon as we arrived, and the views and accommodation were stunning. We wish we could have stayed longer. We can’t thank our hosts enough. A must whenever I’m in Bali.
