I'd booked a day ahead but they wouldn't let me stay, so I decided to find a different hotel. The top review had already put me off, and I didn't want to travel all that way just to be turned away.

I paid in full for a reservation made the day before arrival, then messaged the admin to confirm I would arrive at a specific time the next day. But when I got to the hotel, the receptionist flatly refused me and said the rooms were full. I asked for a refund and was only told it was being processed. I waited and complained to the agent, but the hotel showed no real intention of helping with the refund. In a small city like this, it's disappointing that staff don't seem to understand standard procedures for handling guests. There should be a record of every reservation coming in, so the receptionist or hotel staff can check room availability. They shouldn't just stay silent when a guest who has paid is turned away because a new guest who booked has already arrived. So what's the proper check-in procedure? Should guests go straight to the hotel to avoid being turned away after paying in full? Just my comment. The owner should give employees more product knowledge and insight. These issues may seem minor, but staff seem to lack understanding, and that appears to bring down the hotel's rating. The receptionist and hotel staff are the spearhead of a company's good or bad reputation. I hope this gets evaluated soon.

I was originally after a room for just one week, but the weekly price was 600 (the price at the time of this review) and the monthly option was 1 million, so I went with the month instead. 😆 For a boarding room, it's pretty decent, though as a homestay it'd be very basic. The room comes with two small towels that only absorb so-so, plus amenities, a TV, a table, and a cupboard with sides and back that feel a bit flimsy. The AC gets really cold, and the partly tiled walls add to that brrrr feeling. 🥶 The bathroom was clean and not damp, with no mold. There's one corner with black spots, though, maybe because there's an outdoor AC unit behind the wall. The water pressure is low, so be patient waiting for enough water to shower. Boarding house residents can use the gate and front door 24 hours. There's a guard room out front, but if you're renting a room and arrive in the middle of the night, you'll probably need to wake the guard. Electricity is paid through tokens for each resident. Parking is very limited, so if you bring a car, expect to leave it in front of the gate or along the roadside. And couples staying here need to bring a marriage certificate, or at least a photo on their phone to prove they're married. 😁
