Emaki Al Ma'soem Resort

The rooms are average, but they're still comfortable and roomy enough. I came for the atmosphere and had a relaxing time. It's very family friendly, with lots for kids to explore, including a pool park, aviary, mini zoo, koi pond, archery, playground, and more.

There are plenty of open areas, and the setting is lovely. The well-kept little zoo and playground make it a fun place for families, and the room prices are reasonable. Still, my room wasn't what I expected. It was tucked right into a building corner and had a clear glass door, so it felt more like a rental room than a hotel 😅

The grounds feel spacious without being crowded with buildings, and the balance of landscaped and built areas works well. For the price, it feels like good value. The resort is a welcome break from city traffic and daily routine, and two nights seems like the right length for a family staycation. There's enough parking, a second-floor restaurant with a partly outdoor dining area and a nice view, and outdoor spaces with barbecue spots. Kids can use the playground and pool, which is described as a small water park, though it isn't heated. Other activities include bikes and archery rental. The small zoo is lovely, with 11 Axis axis deer, Merino sheep, various birds and water birds, and a pond full of koi look-alikes. There's also a roof trail connecting the buildings and different spots. Its H-beam and WF steel structure, coated concrete surface, and proper surrounding fence all seem well done. On the third floor of the Emaki Building there's a mosque that holds 50 people, including 15 women. The toilets and wudhu area were neat and clean, and congregational salat is held five times a day, led by an imam rawatib, an Ustadz from Pesantren Al Ma'soem. The hotel staff are all young men, including the teenage housekeeping staff. A couple of things could be improved. Some rooms need repainting where guest use has left marks. Also, the path from the upper ground to the lower ground could be made safer, since it gets wet and slippery in the rain.

There are aviaries and an archery range below the skywalk, which runs 800m around the resort. It's a great choice for a family trip, especially with children. Our room was clean, spacious, and came with cooking utensils.
