Great Panorama Lodge & Camping by MHM

I feel bad leaving a negative review, but the place was completely unsuitable for what we paid. It was poorly maintained, with a dirty, damp floor, lots of cockroaches, mold all over the walls, and peeling paint. The room and mattress both smelled awful. I was scared the mold might make my children sick. We wanted to leave right away and find another inn, but it was late and foggy, and traffic back to Lembang was very congested. We ended up sleeping in masks, luckily we had some in the car. I deeply regret staying here and will never come back.

The lodge is a nice option for a quiet nature break near Bandung, with a calm atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. It has lovely pine forest views and cooler temperatures. The amenities are basic, but it's a charming place to relax.

The food here is so good, and the service is just out of this world. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The location worked perfectly for me because my workplace is nearby, so I could stay over and get to work early. 10/10 recommend staying here.

Nature lovers who don't mind lots of insects in the room might suit this lodge, but our stay at Great Panorama Lodge & Camp was very disappointing. We checked into the Amethyst Room 1 earlier than expected. Staff said the room WiFi had been out for almost a month, so we had to use the lobby or cafe WiFi, even though we'd PAID for a room with WiFi. The TV didn't work either because there was no WiFi. One staff member did help carry one of our backpacks and show us to the room. Getting there was unpleasant too. The walkway was rocky and uneven, which felt unsafe for children. The room had a bunk bed and a lower compartment room that felt a little cramped. There was no fan or air conditioning, and with no ventilation the room was uncomfortable, though it got super cold at night. The toilet and floor were unacceptably dirty, and the towels seemed unclean. The kettle was dusty and dirty, so I had to scrub it with wet tissue before making my child's milk. We found red ants nearby, small spiders in the top bunk, and disgusting wall bugs all over the walls. We used the bottom bunk, but its bedsheets smelled of vomit. Around 4:30 pm, the weather turned foggy and chilly (23°C). We tried ordering through GrabFood, but drivers didn't know the area and declined our orders. At the lodge cafe there was a long queue and a significant wait, while our hungry children got restless. A staff member helped my husband get food from a nearby mart, but we had to pay him 30k rupiah for the trip. The next morning it was still chilly (17°C). At breakfast, most of the food was gone and staff hadn't replenished it. I also saw a small cockroach crawling around the plates. We hesitantly took nasi goreng and mee goreng for the kids, but both my son and daughter vomited right after eating, so we had to abandon the meal. We skipped the cafe altogether the following day and just waited for checkout. We won't return.
