Hotel Pesona Bamboe Lembang

The wood and bamboo construction gives the hotel a natural character, just as its name suggests. While I was there for a convention, the fresh air and nature scents made it feel like being outdoors.

The children had plenty to do, with the swimming pool and kids’ play facilities, and breakfast was delicious with a good range of choices. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was strategic, too. Our room had direct pool access and was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The hot water took about 15 minutes to come through, which seemed wasteful, and the telephone line was broken. The hotel offered us a different room, but we’d already unpacked, so we stayed. WiFi was quite slow and could use improvement.

We enjoyed walking around the hotel grounds and playing chess in the lobby, and the location was great. The room floor wasn’t clean, and the bathroom was uncomfortable. Its shower was very old, hot water took about 5-10 minutes, and there was nowhere to hang clothes. I’d suggest renovating the bathroom, adding hooks for clothes, and separating smoking rooms from non-smoking ones.

The price is competitive compared with other places, and we had a nice view during our stay. The air was cool, the service was good, and staff responded quickly. There’s a pool and playground for children, too. Breakfast could use more variety. It’s a good place to stay when visiting Lembang.
