We paid around 1.7 million IDR for one night, and the stay was very stressful with our 5-year-old daughter. At breakfast the next morning, a cockroach crawled out from under our plates, and the pool looked dirty and unused. We also had to chase up our things left in the bathroom of the first room, and there was no proper apology or compensation. That first room was in an unacceptable state when we arrived around 8 PM. The bed had dark stains and lizard droppings, insects were in the room and even inside the kettle, the bathroom and bathtub were dirty, and there was no hand soap. We had to clean the tub ourselves. Used tissues had been placed under a cabinet to prop it up, which was unhygienic. Not long after we arrived, the bathroom door jammed shut. Staff couldn’t fix it or offer a proper solution. One person said he’d come back, but never did. After we insisted, we were moved to a downgraded room that still had dust and spider webs, and again no hand soap. The towels were old and grey. When we asked for clean ones, we were told those were “only for VIP guests.” This place needs to improve basic cleanliness, maintenance, and service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you’re an earth person, this is a nice place to stay. You can wake up to the sound of water from the little streams below your window. The signal is still okay, though limited, and expect rain all day.

The wooden cottages, lake views, and artistic design make for a romantic setting. It’s peaceful and surrounded by nature, and could work well for pre-wedding photos or a weekend escape.

The natural surroundings are lovely, but the upkeep, management, cleanliness, and guest experience need a lot of work. When it rained, water dripped through the ceiling. Every morning bits of the roof and dead bugs fell onto the white bed sheets, and there were cobwebs all over the bathroom. My husband and I were so shocked it was hard to take pictures. It also took 45 minutes just to get plates and cutlery brought to our room. There were other problems too. For the price, I think you can find a better place elsewhere.

The staff were really friendly and good. The room is large, and the villa has beautiful scenery and an amazing view. My only gripe was the bed, which felt quite hard. A little more comfort there would make the stay amazing.
