La Oma

The staff were so friendly, always smiling and helpful. La Oma seems well suited to retreats or business meetings, with spacious meeting rooms and places to relax, including a swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, and a view. There's also an outdoor playground for kids. We stayed one night after a day trip to the White Crater in Ciwidey and Lembang, West Java. This place really feels close to nature, with no other hotel rooms greeting you as you step outside. The garden was well maintained, there were lots of plants to look at, and the fresh air was lovely. Our room was simple, but welcoming, clean, and large enough for an extra bed. I'm used to four- and five-star hotels, so its modest style stood out in a good way. They served tasty traditional snacks with warm drinks in the evening, just right for a cool night. We only had breakfast, and that was hit and miss. They might be able to do better, though we were the only guests, so perhaps it was a fluke. I'd recommend checking it out for the fresh air, the scenery right outside your room, and the friendly people. The staff made a great impression on me.

A nice old cafe with good food, but flies show up as soon as your meal arrives. They should work on fly control. The staff gave us a candle, which helped a little.

All the rooms are comfortable, clean, and neat, and this is a hidden gem for a hotel stay or meeting package in Bandung. Try lunch at the restaurant or a coffee break in the garden. Guests can use the pool table and swimming pool.

The bonfire at night was really useful, but the bathroom wasn't clean enough. I was disappointed that the deluxe room had no WiFi.
