OYO 211 Seruni Residence

This was the worst OYO I've stayed in. The beds were very soft foam that sank under me, and I found what looked like mold or dirt on the blankets. The rooms also weren't air-conditioned, with open vents by the front window and in the bathroom facing the back. The room itself was in poor shape. There was a dirty black line on the walls, peeling paint, and drawers that looked ready to fall apart. Thin walls meant I could hear the neighbor using the toilet, which woke me up because I thought someone was in mine. Being beside the road was noisy too, with cars and motorbikes passing even late at night. Every morning from 8am, ibu were sitting in the first two rooms chatting, and I could hear them three doors away. The same ibu gang smoked nonstop from 7am, and the smoke drifted in through the vents, giving me a sore throat. After a bad night, the security guard asked me for a tip for looking after my motorbike. It left me wondering if he wasn't already being paid to guard it.

Booking through the OYO app was convenient, and I got a room number just a few hours before the stay. Prices differed depending on where you booked. Seruni Guest House charged IDR 150K on weekends and IDR 100K on weekdays, while the app booking cost IDR 198K. Thanks to Local Guides, I stayed almost for free. I couldn't pay by credit card when activating the promo with OYO points, which added another 30% discount. There were two bottles of water in the room, and a dispenser outside. I had no other problems with the stay, but the bathroom hot water didn't work when I tried at 3 AM and 6 AM. The location works for visiting places around Lembang, including The Ranch, Farm House Lembang, Floating Market, Tangkuban Perahu, Orchid Forest Cikole, and Ciater hot water spring, which is only a 30 min drive away. Would I come back? Sure, but I'd book directly with the place instead of using OYO app.

I really like this guest house. The staff are friendly, the price is affordable, and the Wi-Fi has been super fast so far. It's also close to tourist attractions.

The hotel's restaurant is amazing, with delicious food, and anyone can come in to eat. The rooms are quite bad, though, and the bathrooms are dirty.
