The staff welcomed us warmly and were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout. Our clean, comfortable room was well designed to fit in with the natural surroundings. Samawa Seaside Resort sits right on the beach, with lovely ocean views and memorable sunsets. It’s peaceful and away from the crowds, which suited us well. The food was delicious, with fresh local and international dishes. The resort can also arrange snorkeling and diving trips, and access to those activities was easy. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Sumbawa experience with warm service.

The food was really nice, and the rooms were comfortable for a few nights. We had an injury before arriving, and everyone was so accommodating. Staff even took me around to the pool and restaurant by motorbike. They went above and beyond during our short stay, and I’ve never felt so welcome. This place would suit families, couples, or solo travellers. Honestly, I would have been lost without their help. We’d recommend it 100%.

The bathrooms are quite dated and could use some repairs and maintenance. The restaurant is simple but nice, and the staff and management were extremely friendly. The villas have an incredible view, a nice pool, and beautiful gardens. For Sumbawa, where many hotels are very basic, this place stands out. The hotel can arrange diving or fishing trips too.

There’s a dock of their own for snorkeling and diving trips. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. Our cottage or villa was spacious and comfortable at this beautiful resort.

The restaurant staff were kind and accommodating, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. My Whaleshark tour guide arranged it and described it as a 4 star hotel, but it was a dump. The bathroom was falling apart, there were holes in the walls, and rats ran around and left droppings on the floor. There was no shower door, so water went all over the room. When I told the owner, they just shrugged and said it had been broken for a while. The place was trashy and not worth the money. I left after one night instead of staying again.
