A-One House

The room had plenty of space and a fridge, and we slept well even though the bed might feel hard to some people. The beach, shops, ATM, money exchange, and lots of good food are about a minute away. The owners were kind and helpful. When the sink wouldn't drain properly and the power went out, leaving the room very hot without air conditioning, they took care of both issues right away.

The homestay is in a nice spot, about a minute from the beach, and they helped me arrange a snorkeling trip with a local guide and suggested places to visit. The nearby spa looked lovely. I was disappointed to find the pool under reconstruction, since I hadn't seen that mentioned on Booking. Roosters start up very early, so bring an eye mask and earplugs. Thank you.

From the private balcony there's a lovely garden view, and the room has air conditioning, big windows, a huge bed, and a roomy bathroom with hot water. Staff can help arrange boat or snorkeling trips, motorbike rental, laundry, and boat transfers. The beach and main road are each less than a minute away in opposite directions. Bring earplugs and a sleep mask, since the morning birds get very loud as soon as daylight breaks.

I spent a really enjoyable week here in February. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and even drove me to catch the fast boat back to Blai, which I really appreciated. My upstairs room was large and nicely presented, with a huge balcony and wide views. A private path takes about a minute to reach the beach, where there were a couple of loungers, a table, and chairs. The place could use a little updating. There's also a small sea-view pool at the neighboring property that guests can share, handy when the tide was too low to swim in the sea, though that didn't happen often. I can highly recommend staying here.
