Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa

We had a plunge pool room and it was beautiful. Loved the outdoor shower, though there are so many doors that mosquitoes could get in if you’re not careful. Breakfast was included in our package, tasty, and had healthy options. We could also use the facilities after check-out. We stayed for a couple of weeks around the end of November and had a great time. We’d been at four- and five-star hotels around Bali that week, but this place was the best experience. It’s a small resort, so they get to know you and what you need. I’ve forgotten the name of the guy who was manager or at the front desk, but he was great. We also loved Weny! The security guards at the top were so friendly too. We ran into one back on the mainland and he remembered us. It gave the hotel such a warm, family feel. Thanks!

We booked two neighboring villas, each with a private pool, but on arrival found a large construction site right beside them. This hadn’t been mentioned on Hotels.com or the hotel’s own website. We told the hotel immediately and got no meaningful response. At 7 a.m. the next day, construction noise woke us, and it continued every day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. When we complained, the hotel sent us to Hotels.com. We had to explain the whole story several times to their customer service, and eventually the hotel offered an “upgrade”: two suites without private pools, far apart and joined internally by stairs. That wasn’t what we’d booked or paid for, so we declined. After hours of waiting, we were told the hotel rejected any refund or price reduction, and Hotels.com wouldn’t take the matter further. The hotel only offered honeymoon pool suites at checkout, by which time our onward travel was arranged. We checked out early with no compensation, apology or refund for the unused night. The only thing handed to us was a paper asking us to agree to no compensation. We didn’t sign it. For a resort at this price, this handling was unacceptable. The staff were very friendly and had a great attitude overall.

Our wedding at Batu Karang in May 2025 was a dream. We had 46 guests with us, and every one of them stayed at the resort. We all still dream about going back, and I think many of us will do whatever we can to make it happen. The setting is perfect and the location breathtaking. The villas make you wish you could stay forever, and booking an upgrade is so worth it. The chef and Food & Beverage manager are a dream team. The food was spectacular, from the best breakfast we’ve ever had to the special, delicious lunch and dinner menu. Our Indonesian-style three-course wedding meal was high-end fabulous, and the drinks were amazing, refreshing and exciting. The Batu Karang team deserve the highest praise. Their attention to detail was unmatched, even remembering guests’ names. I could write for days, but I’m afraid no one would finish reading it. I’m sure I’m forgetting a million important things. I can’t speak highly enough of Batu Karang. Thank you, team, for the best day or days of our lives. If we planned our wedding again and again, it would always be BK!

The resort food was amazing, and there was nothing I could fault. The staff gave us exceptional attention, even while handling some very demanding guests. Wizzy was great at arranging a buggy for the day and the JetSki, and I highly recommend both. This is by far one of the best places I’ve stayed. The room had a stunning view and everything we needed. There was construction next door, but they didn’t start until 8 a.m. and finished around 5 p.m., and we could hardly hear it.
