Sea View Lembongan

This is a budget-friendly place that really worked for us, and we’d stay again. It’s near the main road, which is still small, so getting around Lembongan and Ceningan was easy. There’s generous scooter parking, and the local family running the hotel were all lovely. The dad has a scooter business and delivered one for us to rent, and they arranged a taxi to the boat at a fair price. We also felt safe leaving our luggage after checkout so we could spend the day out. The rooms were spacious, clean and newly painted, with lovely views from bed when the curtains were open and a small balcony. The pool area had a view and was clean. The bed was comfortable, the blackout curtains worked well, and there was a safe, a small fridge with drinks, a kettle, tea and coffee, and good AC. One small note: there’s another similarly named place in Lembongan, and some reviews may get mixed up. I saw a negative review about a bungalow stay that wasn’t this hotel.

This was the dirtiest room we’ve had in weeks of travelling around Indonesia with my 3-year-old. There was dust, dirt and sand in the closet and on the shelves, and the bathroom floor was black and unwashed. When I wiped a shelf with my hand while unpacking, I was appalled. I cleaned things with a wet wipe, then went to reception to show them and ask for another cleaning. The bathroom was even worse. The towels were gray, not white. 🤮 The receptionist seemed unsure of her duties. I had to fill in the paperwork myself and ask for everything. When we came back to request another cleaning of the room and bathroom, she rolled her eyes as if wondering what we wanted. We were stuck with a four-night reservation. I don’t know where the positive reviews came from, perhaps we were unlucky. We didn’t use the pool, and our daughter didn’t ask to either. If it was as dirty as our room, maybe she knew better.

The rooms have recently been renovated and the view is incredible. Breakfast was really nice too. It’s a family-run place, and they’ll help you with everything around the island. Great value for money!

Melly was especially kind and always ready to help with whatever guests need. She adjusts to their needs, and I really appreciated her care. The staff came in every day to make the bed and clean the room. It was spacious, very clean and had stunning sea views, with a peaceful feel to the island. I felt comfortable here, almost like being at home. A 10/10 for me, and I highly recommend this hotel! ♥️
