Medal Jaya Hostel & Room

The hostess cleaned the room every day, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was awesome, by the way. The staff were super nice and flexible: I started in a dorm and then switched to a double room. Cockroaches and spiders did show up once in a while, and watch out for mosquitoes in the evenings, especially.

Each room has its own terrace, and the staff are caring and very kind. It’s a lovely, quiet place, with a beautiful atmosphere, flowers, and pretty details everywhere. Breakfast was a good Western-style one, with options to pick from. I loved the pineapple pancake and would like to come back.

The hostel was spotless, with great air con, and it’s close to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast is free, too, and the value for money is amazing. Honestly, the woman there was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She and her husband were incredibly helpful, and she couldn’t have done more for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better hostel.

Breakfast lets you choose between an omelette, jaffle, or pancake. They also give you a towel, and I got to use one of their scooters for several hours at no charge to explore the islands. It’s a really nice place. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat. I’d definitely recommend it!
