The rooms were lovely, with a calm feel and the pool right outside my door. I was given two bottles of water each day, good shampoo and bath gel, a dental set, plenty of towels, and a minibar. Breakfast was included: I had fruit, coffee, and two kinds of eggs, both sunny side up and scrambled. They tasted great, and they were the best eggs I’ve had in this region. More breakfast options, especially vegan and sugar-free choices, would have been nice, so I’d give it four out of five stars. Still, I’m very pleased with the stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful I felt like hugging them. I’ve stayed three days, and this has been the best standard I’ve come across on my travels in Indonesia. I’d read complaints about groups of visitors, and I can see why that could bother families, but it didn’t affect me much on my own. If the beach is busy, you can move a few meters in either direction to find a spot. The reefs have good surf, though big waves can be dangerous if you’re not prepared. I can highly recommend this place for any occasion.

The hotel and its furniture are in good condition, and the views over aqua-colored water, boats, and coral are lovely. I’d recommend a quick snorkel along the coast. The pool is circular, about 1.2 m deep, and guests can drink alcohol in it. It can get crowded, since guests from the Marine Explorer tour are allowed to eat at the restaurant and use the facilities. If you’re staying here, they may take up all the seats by the beach, pool, and restaurant, which can be annoying.

The room was clean and a good size, and the beachfront location was convenient. The breakfast was just so-so, and the staff didn’t seem very professional. We were told to check out at 10AM, even though the international standard is 12PM. We had to argue and get angry before they let us stay until 12PM.

The instructors were helpful and explained things well. We tried the marine walk, snorkeling, banana taxi, and more, and really enjoyed the water activities. We went a few days after the full moon, when the sea level had risen, but the experience was still worthwhile.

The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate big groups, and there’s a shuttle pickup for guests going on an island tour. The hotel and beach club have a huge pool by the sea, with a lovely view of the white sandy beach. A beautiful spot in Nusa Lembongan.
