Sthala, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali

I stayed at this hotel for seven nights, and it was an amazing experience. The staff were so helpful and greeted me with a smile every day. I have a disability, but everything was accessible. They even let me use a service elevator to get around with my wheelchair, which is a little bigger than normal. The rooms were really clean, and the showers were very hot. It’s a very clean hotel. Everyone here deserves a raise.

Eva made us feel at home right from check-in. She was warm and patient, explained the facilities clearly, and made the process easy. Adit’s shuttle service was just as lovely, with friendly, genuine hospitality that made getting around Ubud enjoyable. We came to Sthala for a birthday getaway, surrounded by Ubud’s lush greenery and quiet atmosphere. The hotel sits in a beautiful river valley, and the infinity pool looks out over the jungle. Misty mornings and the sounds of nature made it easy to slow down and enjoy Bali’s natural beauty. The birthday decorations in our room were thoughtful and made for a meaningful surprise, with balloons and special touches. It would be lovely for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. Sthala offers beautiful views and heartfelt service. We’d love to come back for another peaceful, memorable stay in Ubud.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Sthala in December 2025. The Marriott app made booking quick and hassle-free. The location makes getting around Ubud easy, even though there’s a busy street nearby, and the river and surrounding nature still give it a peaceful feel. Staff were attentive and eager to help, from check-in through the entrance and at the breakfast buffet. They made us feel welcome, and their English was very good, so communication was easy. Breakfast had a lively atmosphere and a wide selection of Western and local dishes, plus plenty of drinks at the juice station, coffee, and tea bar. The wait staff brought our food and drinks promptly. We weren’t used to sitting outdoors in the wet season, but that didn’t take away from what felt like a solid five-star stay. Our standard room with two beds was fine for us, though it felt a little tight with four suitcases.

Bintang was especially helpful, showing us the room amenities and arranging for the safe to be unlocked. It was fixed first thing the next day. Tya also greeted us warmly each morning and checked that we had no concerns. Everyone was courteous, respectful, and eager to help from the moment my wife and I arrived at Sthala. The free shuttle into Ubud city center was a definite plus.
