Even though it’s on Market Street in the center of Ubud, the place stays very quiet, with a lovely garden. Everything was clean, breakfast was perfect, and the owners were kind. I especially appreciated the thermos of hot water they had ready for tea or coffee in the morning and afternoon.

We stayed five nights at Artja Inn and had a good time. The owners’ hospitality was even better than we expected. The location is handy, but the place itself is really quiet, with a nice terrace and a beautiful garden full of squirrels, butterflies, and birds. Our room was clean, though being close to the river meant it could get a bit damp. Insects and geckos can find their way inside, as they do in many Ubud rooms, but the owner gave us repellent and lit a mosquito repellent each evening. Breakfast was included, with tasty banana pancakes, eggs on toast, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea. WiFi was good. It’s not a five star hotel, but it’s good value for the money.

We were surprised by how peaceful it was. The entrance opens onto the busy market, but once inside it was so quiet. The people were really sweet, and I loved sitting outside in the lush garden, watching the rain or having breakfast. The room was simple, clean, and nice, with a view of all that greenery. The pancakes were our favourite, and we still talk about them. For budget travellers like us, this was a 10/10. I’d recommend it and would come back! 💛 Thanks again, and greetings from Estonia!
