Amaris Hotel Madiun

The location worked really well, right near the city center, attractions and malls, all just a short walk away, and there was plenty of parking. Our room was roomy for this kind of hotel, cozy, clean and tidy. The lighting in both the bedroom and bathroom was good, and the air con was clean and worked properly. Staff were kind and very helpful with questions about amenities and other information. Check-in was a rough start. The stated time was 2:00 PM WIB, but of the three rooms we booked, only two were ready after about 45 minutes. We waited another 15 for the last one. There had been a queue before us, but it cleared much faster than our wait. The receptionist tried to get housekeeping to finish the rooms, though it didn’t seem to help. If rooms can’t be ready by 2:00, management should set a later check-in time they can meet. I know this is a budget hotel, not a four-star one, but waiting that long wasn’t a great way to begin our trip.

Getting here can be tricky because of the traffic, but once there, the city center location is handy. There’s a theme park and two plazas nearby, and it’s easy to walk out for food. The rooms were okay, though not especially clean.

The only thing I missed was having a mini-fridge, and it didn’t spoil the stay for me. My room was clean and had enough space, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was good, especially the fried rice. It’s also very convenient, about a minute on foot from a Supermall and fairly close to Madiun Station. I had a surprisingly great time here. Kudos to the hotel!

Breakfast had a decent range, and the food was okay. Our room was clean and quite spacious, too. The staff were helpful and friendly over our 3D2N stay, especially the driver and security staff. The hotel can pick you up from or drop you at the train station for free, but call ahead before you arrive. It’s right in the heart of town, with hawker food, a mall and other interesting spots within walking distance. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Madiun.
